Requesting live access
After the sandbox connection is certified and the checklist passes, ask for a live app, register a live key and connect real agencies.
Before you ask#
- Your sandbox connection to the test agency is certified (Certification).
- You ran the twelve checks of the certification checklist on the sandbox.
Request live access#
On the Partner Portal overview, the checklist item Request live access (admins only; enabled once the sandbox connection is certified) opens a dialog: "Tell us your live server IP addresses and a monitoring contact. We'll create your live app." Write the note (10–1,000 characters) and Send request. The item then reads "Requested on {date}". Developers see the state but not the button.
What happens next#
- We create your live app, with its limits and the IP allowlist from your note. Your admins get an email.
- A partner admin registers a live key. Developers cannot register live keys.
- Confirm the IP allowlist. A live app needs at least one address: a live request with an empty allowlist is refused with 403
ip_allowlist_empty, one from an unlisted address with 403ip_not_allowed. See IP allowlist. - We switch "Listed" on. Your app now appears to every eligible agency under Available software in its portal.
- Real agencies connect. An agency's owner or manager clicks Connect, generates a code valid for 15 minutes and gives it to you (in your software, by phone, by email). Redeem it with the live key; a sandbox key gets 404
connect_code_invalid. See Consent flow. - Each new connection is certified once — its first pushes answer
needs_reviewuntil staff certify it. After that, imports are automatic.
Live limits#
| Limit | Live |
|---|---|
| Requests per minute (per app) | 600 |
| Listing items per hour (per connection) | 2,000 |
| Items per batch | 200 |
